The Centre for Economics was established as an research centre in 2018-19. Gopikabai Sitaram Gawande College recognized in the year 1966.
The department admits the students for research leading to Ph.D. degrees. The prime aim of the department is to inspire students through teaching as well as cherish and improve research attitude to the highest possible standards in various Economical Staus . The faculty of the department also aim to communicate our research findings of Agriculture, Industrial & Education Sectors as well as Social community. so as to get more and more benefits to them in the widest possible range, thus contributing to the overall integration of research knowledge of Economical Sector & society. At the same time the faculty aim to make tune with nationwide global research activities since the establishment of the dept. Therefore the department plan our activities in both rural and global contexts.
