The Student and Education Support Association (SESA) is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Ohio and with the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) private charity.
Drs. and formed SESA in 1992 with the goal of supporting students and education [specifically, where, how, why?] SESA has played a vital role in developing GSG College.

Here are just a few examples of the improvements to GSG College made possible by generous donations to SESA from both the Gawande family and friends of the Gawande family:
Hank and Suzanne Library
Gene Engle Auditorium
Sumeeta G Vocational Building
Max and Sheila Marks Reading Room
Carl and Helen Roberts Computer Lab (in conjunction with Rotary International)
6,000 feet of classroom space
Library books, including text books and reference books
Computer and internet training

In addition, SESA has supported students and education in Southeastern Ohio, USA, where Drs. and have lived for the past 40 years, and which is one of the poorest regions of the United States. Here are a few examples of the support provided by SESA in Ohio:
Establishment of Drs. Ram and Sushila Gawande Chair in Indian Religion and Philosophy
Project grants for collaborations between Ohio University and GSG College
Student scholarships to children of police officers and firefighters
Emergency loans to Ohio University students for books and tuition
Assistance to international students at Ohio University and Hocking College
